school musicalEach year St. Peter presents a full scale musical. Titles in the past have included The Music Man, Peter Pan, Godspell, The Wizard of Oz, Annie, and this year Beauty and the Beast! All students in fifth - eighth grade are encouraged to audition and all students perform in some capacity!
The introduction to theater at a young age teaches many different skills. Working together to reach a common goal, collaborating and sharing ideas, as well as making friends and supporting their fellow classmates are just some of them. Students who do not want to be on stage have many opportunities to work behind the scenes. We have a state-of-the-art sound system and lights, sets, costumes and props are all handled by students. The Musical is the highlight of the year for many at SPS! art clubStudents will work with our Art teacher to discover their artistic talents outside of the classroom and beyond the art standards. They will be encouraged to use a variety of mediums to create masterpieces that are all their own!
math clubOur middle school students have the opportunity to join the Math Club. The Math Club meets one time per week during lunch and recess and competes at St. Francis High School, IMSA, and Marmion Academy.
