Uniforms

Students attending St. Peter School are expected to wear the designated uniform on all school days, unless the school announces an official "out-of-uniform" day. The St. Peter logo is acceptable on all uniform clothing. It is the responsibility of the parent that your child is dressed according to the following dress code. Children must be neat and clean in appearance at all times. In all questions regarding the dress code, the decision of the school administration is final.

Please replace all faded, worn, or outgrown clothing. All clothing items should be labeled with your child's name. Other restrictions may be applied at the discretion of the administration.

By registering, parents and students agree to adhere to all school rules and regulations.

Uniform clothing should only be purchased through the following sources:

P.E. Uniform Requirements

PLEASE NOTE . . . THERE IS NO JEWELRY IN GYM CLASS. For the safety of the student, jewelry should not be worn in gym class. The school cannot be responsible for jewelry removed in gym class; therefore, students should NOT wear jewelry on gym days. In the case of newly pierced ears, a note from the parent must be sent to the office. If a note is on file, the earrings may be covered with tape. If no note is on file, the earrings will need to be removed.

GRADES K – 4

  • Gym shoes are needed for gym days. In grades K – 4, students may keep a pair of gym shoes at school in their classroom. Please label your child’s gym shoes.
  • Girls should wear shorts under their uniform jumpers.

GRADES 5 – 8

  • Gray St. Peter t-shirt and black shorts from our supplier BBK Sports, labeled with the student’s last name. The school has made arrangements with BBK Sports in St. Charles to sell our products in their store and online. You can purchase P.E. uniform items by going online to www.bbksports.com. Click on St. Peter School under “Browse Categories” on the left-hand side of the page. You can also purchase these items at their store located at:

    Suite 400
    St. Charles, IL 60174
    (630) 377-6222
    (located in Kane County Dugout)
  • Gym shoes MUST be predominantly white. The shoes are to be labeled (on the inside) with the student's name. The shoes are to be kept inside the gym locker.

Cooler weather attire requirements for P.E.
If students would like to wear something to keep them warm outside on cooler days, they may choose to wear a St. Peter School Uniform crew neck sweatshirt or a St. Peter sport team sweatshirt or a St. Peter spirit wear sweatshirt. Students may wear plain black, red, navy, or gray sweatpants without strips or logos. There is a pair available through BBK, our P.E. uniform supplier, that fits this criteria but it is not mandatory to purchase the sweatpants through them.

  • Tank tops with less than a 1" strap or clothing with spaghetti straps or tops that expose the midsection are not allowed. Skirts and shorts should be an appropriate length, to the knees.
  • Students should wear appropriate footwear to school. Flip-flops and backless sandals present a health and safety concern, especially when the children run around at recess.
  • Students will be allowed to wear jeans and sneakers.
