TRANSPORTATION
WALKERS
Children walking to school must respect the rights of homeowners by keeping off lawns and by using public sidewalks on the way to and from school. Kindergarten students may not walk home without a written note from the parent. A school crossing guard is provided by the Police Department at Kaneville and Northampton/Southampton before and after school.
BICYCLES
Bicycle racks are provided. Each student who rides a bicycle to school is asked to walk his/her bike on school property. All bikers should wear helmets and all bikes must be locked.
SCHOOL BUS REGULATIONS
St. Peter School students who reside within Geneva School District #304 and live more than 1 1/2 miles from school are eligible for free bus service.
Bus Stop: Be on time. Do not push.
Wait until bus comes to a complete stop.
Enter one at a time.
Keep off private property.
Fighting will not be tolerated.
On Bus: Go to seat. Be polite.
Obey driver at all times.
Do not talk too loudly.
Do not touch handle or lever on emergency door.
Do not bring articles on the bus which may injure other children.
No food on bus.
Getting Off the Bus: Keep your seat until the bus comes to a complete stop.
Leave the bus one at a time.
Always complete your route and transfer buses in a quiet and orderly fashion.
Failure to obey the above bus regulations will result in the pupil's suspension from bus privileges. St. Peter School students are expected to know how to behave. Inappropriate language, disrespect, fighting, throwing objects, etc. are always cause for suspension of bus privileges.
PLAYGROUND RULES
- Students must play in designated areas and stay in sight of the supervisor. Boundaries may need to be adjusted due to the weather.
- Playground equipment must be used in a correct manner.
- There will be no tackle football or contact sports, no hard baseball, no snowball throwing, no pushing, no fighting, no bad language.
- Children should line up at the door when the bell rings before entering the school. No running into the building is allowed.
- Students should always follow the directions of the administration, teachers, and playground supervisors.
